New River Gorge National Park & Preserve Overview

A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. The park encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities.

Since this is not a fee park, park passes, senior passes, and access passes are not available for purchase here. If you plan to visit other national parks with an entrance fee, passes can be purchased online at www.nps.gov, or at any park that charges an entrance fee.
